Ok, this is interesting...
On the systems where I get the IE Process Crash..,. I have "uninstalled" JAVA 1.8
and all runs perfect!!!! No Crash.
I reinstall latest Java and BOOM. IE PROCESS CRASH
Uninstalled again. All is well.
Reinstalled again. BOOM IE PROCESS CRASH
What?????
After you reinstalled the Java, have you tried doing a repair of the TC installation? What it sounds like is that plugins, etc., for Java may be getting messed up on the upgrade.

Howdy, tried Repair and back to the problem of not being able to use SPY (as I also accepted and performed the update that was immediately available) as appropriate. It does NOT recognize certain objects.
Long story short...
I uninstalled Java again,,,,
re-ran repair again, Did NOT accept immediate update
Now, all runs great again.
BUT... without that immediate UPDATE (which caused the SPY issues) and without JAVA 1.8
So... something still not right.
