Unable to set a breakpoint

In Tc sometimes i can't to set a breakpoint at particular line even whn i dblclick the line#. it works only if i copy & paste the line somewhere else. hav anyone else faced this issue?  does is happen due to change in default theme?

    Some lines, such as blank ones, you can't set breakpoints on. I've had this problem when attempting to set a breakpoint by clicking. I was able to resolve by using the default shortcut F9 to set the breakpoint.

    Hi, which version of Test Complete are you using?


     


    I remember having issues in Test Complete 9 with setting Breakpoints when the code existed within a custom object rather than global in a Script Unit.

    A Simple Step to reproduce issue



    'Copy the below code



    function Print



    call testbreakpoint(arg1,arg2)  'Ctrl+Left M Click' 3 times and try to set a breakpoint here



    End function





    function testbreakpoint(arg1,arg2)

        Dim arg1,arg2



        a=arg1

        b=arg2



    End function





    Can anyone pls try in TC v10



    'Ctrl + LeftMClick'  takes to function origin. nw click on the line three times and try to set a breakpoint on the line mentioned.

    I've reproduced the behavior with TestComplete 10.20 and reported it to our R&D team. I'll post an update here when I have some results from them.

    Hi Murugan,

     


    Our R&D team is fixing this issue. However, we cannot say right now in which TestComplete version this will be resolved.

    you can only add breakpoints when there is some corresponding code for it.

    for example comments and blank spaces do not support breakpoints

    We can't add breakpoints in blank line . but i can't able to add even when there is a code.



    i hav found the cause of this issue but i cont able to reproduce it properly. it occurs whn we call the function from another script ,



    Sub callFunction



     Call test(arg1,arg2,arg3) 'cant able to set breakpoint in this line



    End sub



    function test (arg1,arg2,arg3)  'this function available in another script file



     'somthing



    End function



    after declaring function if there is any change in function arguments thn i cant able to set breakpoint on function call line.
