Is it possible to make a region checkpoint without mapping an object?

Hi every one, I am new in TestComplete testing, please advise how to solve my problem or a workaround.   I prepare a bench of tests with region checkpoints using Object Spy. It is mapping my object...

Yes it does. Via the Extended Find functionality (http://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/testing-with/object-identification/name-mapping/managing/modifying/extended-search-criteria.html). (Note, that for the performance reasons the more close to the expected location of the sought for object the search is started the better.)

Thanks Alex, It works with Extended Find, probably I will go with partial mapping.

During my investigation I found other solutions. It takes more coding, but it works good. Here is the solution without mapping:

 

var MyobjectlUnderTest ;
MyobjectlUnderTest = page.NativeWebObject.Find("propertyName", "propertyValue", "tag").Picture();
MyobjectlUnderTest .SaveToFile("C:\\images\\MyobjectlUnderTest .png");

 

var result;
result = MyobjectlUnderTest .Difference("C:\\images\\MyobjectlUnderTest .png");

//I compare the same image, in a real case it should be replaced with another picture taken during the execution. It is not the code to use - just to give an idea.

if(result != null)

{

Log.Error("Images are different!", undefined, undefined, undefined, result)

} else{
Log.Message("Images are same!");
}
