Media type in a POST Request

I am creating a HTTP Post request, and I am attaching a file.  I need the media type to be application/octet-stream, but I cannot edit the media type or seem to add that media type when attaching the media.

Thoughts?

Re: Media type in a POST Request

I have manually entered it, and it seems to maybe to have worked.  Still no sucess in my call, but progress.  But its this menu that I was hoping it would show.

Re: Media type in a POST Request

Hi @cscottk

Can you provide some screenshots?  The Media Type function on the Request setup is a combo box - i.e. it's an editable dropdown box, so it kinda doesn't make sense that it's not editable for a POST request.

Screenshots will help - I've just created a new HTTP test step and the field is completely editable....!?!?!

Cheers,

if this helped answer the post, could you please mark it as 'solved'? Also if you consider whether the title of your post is relevant? Perhaps if the post is solved, it might make sense to update the Subject header field of the post to something more descriptive? This will help people when searching for problems. Ta
