java.lang.IllegalStateException: WRITER

Hi,

I am using SOAP UI Webservice mocking to test the behavior of a particualr client. The webservice stub that I have built using SOAPUI works fine when I try to create request and generate the response. The moment I allow my client to ping to the webservice for response, soapui starts throwing the below exception
16:49:16,085 ERROR [MockEngine] Failed to log response: java.lang.IllegalStateException: WRITER

Can you please assist?
I am a newbie to this forum. Please excuse if this is not the correct forum for this question.

Thanks.

Regards,
Gaurav

    Hi!

hmm... are you using the latest nightly build? (http://www.eviware.com/nightly-builds) Anyhow, this error shouldn't affect the actual function of the MockService, but please try turning off the MockService HTTP logging in the global http preferences!?

    Hope this helps!

  • The http logging is not enabled anyways.I am seeing the "Enable http log " setting in the Global Soapui preferences. Is this what you are suggesting?
    Thanks.

    Hi Gaurav!

ok.. and are you using the latest nightly-build? Upgrade if you are not, otherwise please show the complete contents of the error log at the bottom of the soapUI window?

    regards!

This is all I am getting in the soap ui log. No entry in hte error log
For every request that my client makes to the service, I get this error.

I am using the nightly build released on 27th Night. Did not upgrade today though. Will do and let you know if that resolves the error.
    Please assist.

    Thanks.

    Hi again,

I just need to check; are you sure you are using the latest nightly-build? The error message you are getting ("Failed to log response..") was removed several weeks ago so I can't see how this can happen for you..!?

    regards!
