what kind of api exposed by soapui NG tool

Hello

I am currently using free version of soap ui NG .I want to know does this tool also expose any API for external development .Also is there command line execution of the tool available if i dont want to use the gui .

      Thanks Tanya for your reply .I am still not sure how the api doc u have shared will be used  because I dont think these API has something in relation with soapUI NG .They are all apis given by Java .Can you elaborate this point a bit more .If u would have shown me with a sing example that would have been gr8 .Also I want to t know can how can i pass object reference for functionality testing using soapui ng .It would have been better if you could shown me this with a simple example .

       

      Also from the coomand line argument using test runner Its not clear about what should be the sample xml file that should be given .Can u mention a sample test case xml file to execute
