SoapUI + hermes on linux - configuration issue

Hi Pdrabik,

Add the following line in soapui-settings.xml
<con:setting id="ToolsSettings@hermesjms">pathToHermeJMSInstallation</con:setting>

where,

pathToHermeJMSInstallation:: will be your hermesJMS installation path till hermesJMS folder.

Restart the SoapUI. Let me know if you still face the same problem.

Yeah, I've already figured it out.. and add that setting to my configuration xml for the test.
Yet, there is no improvement.
/home/pdrabik/AHZA/testAddress-soapui-project.xml

Or maybe you have other soapui-settings.xml on mind... but I cant find any

Yes I am talking about other xml file not the one you have attached!!.
Attached one is soapui-project xml file.

Ok!! Let me make it clear! You will find soapui-settings.xml file in your soapUI installation folder. If you dont found it, then go to the soapUI-->File-->Preferences-->Tools
Browse the Installation folder for Hermes JMS and then click "Ok" and again goto File-->Save Preferences.

Restart the soapUI and this will fix your problem.

Else

In case if Hermes JMS option is not found then add any of the value to any of the tool displayed here for ex: Axis, Jboss etc and After this check in your soapUI Installion folder you will get the soapui-settings.xml file. In this file make the changes that I have mentioned.

Ok, a little "improvement"

I've just noticed that after installation .. there was no soapui-settings.xml

I've created one, and put under SOAPUI_HOME dir.

Hermes is finally found !

But it configuration doesn't work yet..

Can you please attach your soapui-settings.xml .? or else what is the error you are getting. If the error is regarding the hermes you will found it in hermes.log file.
Please attach your hermes.log file, so that I can have look into the exact error.

The problem I do encounter now is... soapui claims there is no EMS_mocny session configured, or.. the hermes config is broken.

This is the same file I'm using on Windows.. only changed paths to linux and correct paths to libs.

Also, I've attached logs, where you might see how I'm trying to convince Soapui about well configured Hermes.

I have analyzed all your attachments. The issue looks like the hermes is unable to locate the jars those are necessary to create the hermes JMS sessions that you have defined in your hermes-config.xml file.

Give the following try:

1) In your soapui-settings.xml file remove the extra "/" after hermesJMS i.e. <con:setting id="ToolsSettings@hermesjms">/home/pdrabik/eviware/soapUI-4.0.0/hermesJMS/</con:setting>
it should be something like <con:setting id="ToolsSettings@hermesjms">/home/pdrabik/eviware/soapUI-4.0.0/hermesJMS</con:setting> and save it.

2) Copy and paste all the jars that you are referring in the hermes-config.xml file to the location /home/pdrabik/eviware/soapUI-4.0.0/hermesJMS/lib. The jars you need to place is jms.jar, slf4j-api-1.4.2.jar, slf4j-simple-1.4.2.jar, tibcrypt.jar, tibjms.jar, tibjmsadmin.jar, tibjmsapps.jar, tibjmsufo.jar and tibrvjms.jar.

Also dont forget to replace the asm.jar with asm-1.5.3.jar reffer my old post for more info http://www.eviware.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=8423

Once the above steps are performed then restart the SoapUI and check!!

Have you manually modfied the testAddress-soapui-project.xml file ? if yes then it would be better if you create a new soapUI project and then try the steps that I have mentioned.

Why do you think it is library issue.
Log clearly state something about Hermes config.
