Java exception when trying to load an Excel spreadsheet as data source

The above error occurred when I attempted to import properties from an Excel spreadsheet.

Any ideas on how to fix that.?

Yes, you got it right because for soapui working of $ is for different purpose. i think any moderator can help you in this

However, I would recommend that you open a support case regarding the $ symbol. This behavior might require deeper investigation on our side. The Customer Care team will surely help you with this.
