Installing LaodUI on a machine with no internet access

Hello all,

I have seen another post regarding this topic, but I'd like to start up a new one in case anyone has the same issues I have.

Basically, in our test environment, we have a number of machine that we use to generate load; all of which are accessed remotely via RDP.

I am trying to install LoadUI on one of these remote machines, but when I attempt to run it, it returns an error about being unable to load JavaFX. On this machine, I have already installed JavaFK SDK 2.0.1, JavaFX 2.0.1 and the JDK version is version 6 update 29.

I did this by downloading the installation files to my machine, copying them to the remote machine and running the installation from there. The Java installations work fine, but LoadUI is still complaining about not being able to load the JavaFX components.

Any help on this at all?

    Hi!

    You need to install JavaFX 1.3.1, not 2.0.1.

    Will the LoadUI installation pick this up? Because at some point during this install process, it prompts for the JavaFX install...

    Not sure. We don't really support installing loadUI without an Internet connection. My guess would be that it either picks it up or that you would have to get the zip-distribution (non-installer) of loadUI.

    Ok I'll keep that in mind.

    The closest I've been able to find for the JavaFX 1.3.1 install is the JavaFX 1.3.1 Production Suite. Would this be sufficient for the LoadUI installation?

    Also, could you provide some links to the LoadUI Zip and a JavaFX 1.3.1 download just so I know I'm installing the right things. I need to be sure, because I don't want to compromise our testing envioronments :S

    Still no support on LoadUI offline installation regarding JavaFX 1.3.1 installation internet dependencies??

    Nothing new here I'm afraid, but I've heard about users working around this.

    Accomplished following the workaround indicated by LoadUI FAQ.

    Just download and install JavaFX SDK 1.3.1, found in Oracle downloads archive, install in isolated machine (A).
    Install Loadui 1.5.1 in machine with internet access (B), and copy the installation folder directly into the isolated machine (A).
    Edit loaduitest.bat to have JAVAFX_HOME variable pointing the JavaFX SDK 1.3.1 installation folder and run.

    Loadui Agent 1.5.1 does not have same issue as it does not need JavaFX GUI components to load. Just install it in the machines you want the Loadtest to distribute.

    PD: Experimenting some performance issues in loadui distributed testing (Local testing is capable of generating more requests than distributed testing with 2 agents... weird isn't it? Looking around for some explanation...)

    Has anyone else reported this issue? I was hoping to (at some point) work with the LoadUI Agents for distributed testing.

    With the Agents, is the load not divided across the machines where they are installed? I would have thought that the agents work by sharing the load across the multiple instances...

    This is not a know problem, and we have never had it reported to us (before). We encourage anyone that experiences this to give us information such as: Project setup, version of loadUI, Local machine specs, Agent A specs, Agent B specs, type of network, type of router/switch, etc.
