Issue faced while linking items

Additional care is needed in ALM, wherever you "Link to Items...".

Following scenario explains the issue:

1. Initially link one item to another item. (e.g., Link Task0 to Task5.)

2. Save the work

3. Open a second item and try to add a link (e.g., Link Task1 to Task6).

4. Now the issue noted here is that, ALM remembers the initial link to Task5 and by default will have Task5 checked

5. Each and every time, whenever we try to link the items, we need to verify that only the items we want linked are checked.

Is that the behaviour expected? When we try linking more than 50 items, it is real hard for us to verify the linkage.

Yes, this is the expected behavior. It's meant to help you link many items to the same items. You might find the Traceability option on the listing screen a better option, particularly if you frequently link 50+ items to another item.

For example, when you are looking at the Agile Task list, click Agile Task Traceability. That opens up an extra row for each Agile Task, with a "link to" options. This option takes you to a traceability screen where you can not only select the item type (Requirements, etc.) but you can use Filters to locate the desired records.

    Hope this helps!
