Grouping Users
Is there a way to group users other than security group? For example, if a defect is assigned to a person, there is a field automatically populated by what group that person is in (AppDev, Data Management, etc.)

If you need to categorize users into something other than a Security Group, you can add a custom field.
We don't have an automatic relationship between fields, though, so selecting a person wouldn't automatically populate another field - you could do this with some custom programming using our java script insert.
