With our project, we have a very dynamic system. That being said in order to simulate proper users with realistic fields, we have to build around 50 + users to manually and automate test. QAComplete does not offer a way for us to utilize a single test case, lets say for the example of Logging into a system with username and password. The username and password can be tokenized however, it is tokenized once. We want a method in which we can define the parameters in a test case from a test set. The test set will simulate User1s experiance but it will constantly use the test case for logging in. Perhaps testcomplete offers something like this? We essentially want to treat specific test cases like functions with parameters

Requesting a new Testing Results Report that provides the following: Contains a drop-down list of the Releases for the applicable QAComplete project. Once a Release is selected, the report lists the Requirements linked to the selected Release. Under each linked Requirement, the report lists the Test Cases (Test ID & Title) linked to the applicable Requirement(s). For each Test Case listed, the Test Results are included that only pertains to the Release selected. Via "Legacy Reports", "Adhoc-Detail", "Requirements Report", we can generate the above report except it doesn't support item #4. I submitted a support ticket (Case #00235269) but was told it was unlikely any future work will occur in the Legacy Report section. As such I request the capability of creating this report in the Reports UI but I need your votes to make it happen. Our organization is deeply committed with the capability of linking Requirements to Releases and linking Test Cases to the applicable Requirements. In fact, we've included the above report as part of our SDLC making it a required deliverable before a service request can be completed. We purchased QAComplete because this functionality (Requirements Traceability) supported our objective in a new Test Management tool. Overall, QAComplete supports this functionality but from our perspective falls short in acccurately reporting it. Thank you for your consideration.

While working with TestComplete and I come a crossed issue, I have no problem getting answers from the community. From people like @tristaanogre However, with QAComplete I sometime have to wait weeks in order to get any response. I would like to see some dedicated paid QAComplete members help out the forms on a more regular basis. We are all in software development, so we all have deadlines. I am new to smart bear products and most of my issue are blocking me from continuing. Thus pushing back deadlines. I would like more support in the forums, if that means paying someone, then I'd find that extremely beneficial

When an update to QAC includes an update to the Test Agent currently I am logging in to each test host and pushing the update manually. There needs to be a way to push the update out to all the test hosts at once.

In our application each TestCase is given a unique ID. This unique ID cannot be duplicated. no we do not want to use the ID provided. We want a method in which when trying to save a Test Case in the Test Library, have a check weither or not that ID already exists.

We are not used to use the am/pm notation and I keep getting confused if my scheduled tests will be run in the morning, or afternoon. So I would like to have an option that the 24 hour notation is used everywhere.

Currently there is no way to track via dashboard reports, tests that have not been run. This is an important use case as it would allow us to track how many tests are still in the queue during a release. You currently have to go in and run a test once to get it to the "awaiting run" status, and that's not worth the time it would take. Just add an "unexecuted" status and have it be triggered if a test set has not been run in it's most recent tagged release/iteration.

The current dashboard charts provide little to no help for the individual tester, they do an okay job from a test management perspective, but we need something more. Create simple, colored charts both within a running test set, and on the test sets grid view that shows pass/fail/unexecuted status. For the test sets grid report, have it be dynamic to change based on what we are seeing through groups or filters. Below is an example of what I would like to see in QAComplete.

Limit your concurrent user licenses based on security groups. or preferably a new form of group. I would like to have groups for clients. User A belongs to Security Group A and Security Group B. But User A is Client A, User B belongs to Security Group B and C But User B is Client B With my issue, I do not want User B kicking out User A from the applicaiton as they may be on the other side of the world and have no communication with each other. However I still want them apart of the same security group. Because this feature isn't there, SmartBear is loosing out on approx 40 licenses since we have approx 20 clients. Giving them 2 licenses each.

I automatically created a defect from a failed test case during a test run The test case is correctly linked but I would like to be able to display that test ID on the defect listing page. I don't see that option when I "choose fields" I don't see this situation discussed in the HELP document. Is there a way?

Nice if we could set up a folder structure so that when a defect gets assigned to “me”, it would go to “my” defect folder, in addition to putting it into the overall Defect list This would just make it easier to see all defects assigned to “me” without running a report or sorting, or filtering. It is very nice, that there is a link inside the email to “Take me there”. It helps when there are a great number of defects

There are so many different screens and buttons and choices when entering a Test Set Suite or a Test Case or a Test Step it can be confusing on where you are at times. add a new step, I select the test and go to steps. The button only says Edit Steps and after you select it, only then do you get an option to add a step. Would be nice if the button said Add/Edit steps like it does when it says Add/Edit Tests. when in a screen, when what user is doing is displayed at the very top left of the screen, would be nice if it were a bit more visible

The last run status on a Test Set can be confusing, especially for a newbie like me 🙂 I started a test run, some tests failed and I ended the run Run History shows status = failed (good and accurate) Test set list in right nav shows failed (good and accurate) I started the test run again, did not End Run, just Save & Close Run History shows status = In Progress (good and accurate) Test set list in right nav shows failed (not current, not accurate and confusing)

Sorry, I posted this in the forum by mistake. This is really minor, but it would be nice if the color of the last run status of the tests in a test set were color coded the same as they are in other places e.g., Test Library right nav Go to test sets folders Select a test folder on the left nav Click to open a test set on the right nav (ensure it has gone through a test run first) Click on the TEST tab in that test set Look at the last run status Expected: Passed should be green Failed should be red Skipped & blocked are black (this is good) Actual: All statuses are black Sheilagh

I am using JIRA, pushing cucumber acceptance criteria to QAC. The problem I have is that there appears to be nothing to push this criteria into cucumber feature files so I can create step definition files and add selenium code in visual studio. I think it would be good if QAC could remain as the optional hub for both manual and automation testing (regardless of the tool used) and support this.

When starting tests from test sets, the only way to view a tests description is to open the print preview. However since our tests usually have a lot of different preconditions (e.g. which database to use or which steps to prepare) we need the description quite often. It would be very helpful if a tests description and notes were accessible more quickly in the test runner.
