Error Linking to Subversion

I am trying to connect my Collaborator Client to a Subversion server and am consistently getting this error:

Error: SCM system could not be auto-detected, but there was an error: Could not determine if checkout <local folder> is managed by Subversion: Error while parsing XML

Other users in my environment are able to connect to this server without issue.  I have tried uninstalling the Collaborator Client and installing different version and the same error occurs.

Is there a way I can get more information about what is occurring here?  I have tried having the Collaborator Client auto detect the Subversion database by pointing to a local repository and I have tried manually configuring the database with the same error as a result.

Any ideas of what I can try to get this to work?
