Allow Account in JSON API Query

We have multiple accounts. When making a query using the JSON API, devices for only one account are returned. I tried to specify the &metasearch=custid:<custid>& parameter like the user interface uses, but the API doesn't respect this value. I verified this through support, who sent me here.

Our goal is to include Alertsite data in our observability efforts. Having this feature would allow us to do this.

  • It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the JSON API not returning devices for multiple accounts when using the &metasearch=custid:<custid>& parameter. This could be a limitation of the API or a configuration issue. I recommend reaching out to the support team again to investigate further and escalate the issue if necessary.

API Update: We kindly request an update to the AlertSite JSON API that allows specifying multiple account IDs or a flag to include all accounts.

Alternative Approach: If an API update isn't feasible in the short term, please advise on any alternative methods to retrieve data qatar traffic 👌 for all accounts programmatically (e.g., separate API calls or batch processing).

    • The API is returning data for only one account, ignoring the &metasearch=custid:<custid>& parameter.
    • This suggests either:
      • The API does not support cross-account queries directly.
      • The custid parameter is being ignored or improperly passed.
