Issue created or linked in test cycles are not linked on the test case

Defects found during a test cycle need to be linked in the test cycles to generate in reports. However on the traceability tab of the test case the defect is not linked here.

Can I confirm if this is correct the behaviour for a bug found during a test cycle not to be linked to the test case for traceability.
