Zephy Enterprise E-mail Notifications

Are E-mail host is Microsoft 365, and given that SMTP Auth is required when setting up e-mail notifications this leaves our credentials vulnerable. I wanted to understand what alternative methods, or workarounds could be use to secure our credentials when sending e-mails via SMTP Auth
