I've updated to 8.6 and still have the same behavior.
The objects that behave like this are Label, RadioButton, Spinner, Shape. The LinkButton object seems to be working correctly. I can't tell for other objects, because these are only ones I could test.
When I cover the area where the object should be with some other window (e.g. TestComplete), then the VisibleOnScreen property turns to false.
