Verify license setup

We just purchased some TestComplete licenses today and I want to verify I am setting it up correctly.



We have 4 primary PC's that will be using Node locked licenses. We have 40 other PC's that will be used mainly to run scripts remotely. These PC's will share 20 TestExecute licenses.  On occasion, we will need to go to one of these 40 PC's and run a script locally so we also have 4 Floating licenses of TestComplete that will be used for this purpose.



So, on those 40 PC's I was planning to install TestComplete and TestExecute. Is this correct?



I assume that when i execute scripts on these PC's remotely they will grad a TestExecute license but if I go to the PC and open TestComplete they should grab one of the 4 Floating licenses.

    Your setup is OK. I would like to pay your attention to the way to choose the License Manager PC for your TestComplete/TestExecute Floating User licenses. Go through the "Selecting License Manager PC" article.


    As for installing TestComplete and TestExecute, you need to install them on each computer where the products are supposed to be used.
