Using the bridge for testComplete and QAComplete in demo mode

Hello



I am currently trialling test complete and QAcomplete.



I want to test the functionallity between these two softwares as a proof of concept.



I have tried the following data:



http://ws.softwareplanner.com



But i keep getting the error



"An error accured while connection to: http://ws.softwareplanner.com"



whenever I click on the load project button.



Does the softwareplanner work if there is a proxy server within the system?

    I just found the user guide.



    It states that it cannot work withou a proxy?



    is this correct?



    How are you supposed to see the connection when testing the demo??

    Hi Steven,


     


    According to the information from the Automated Testing Bridge guide, it's impossible to set the connection through the proxy:


    Internet connection WITHOUT using a proxy (the webservice used by the bridge is not compatible with using a proxy)

    Thanks for the reply.



    It just means I cannot check the intergation between testcomplete and QAcomplete.

    Hi Steven,


     


    I've investigated this situation on the Internet - It looks like using a transparent proxy may help you. Please refer to this Wiki article describing this feature.


     


    One of the main disadvantages of this approach is that only a system administrator can make this setup work. Another one - due to the company policy this won't work for you :(
