Trying to verify Host -but it is giving error "MsRdpClient5 Not Installed"

Hi there, i am doing distributed test on several vm machines, when i try to set up base path under Hosts item, error popup saying MsRdpClient5 is not installed on the remote machine. i followed the link to download and install "This version of Remote Desktop Connection (Terminal Services Client 6.0) can be installed on client computers running Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or Service Pack 2 (SP2)". but after instllation, the problem is still there. the OS on that remote machine is server 2003 R2 sp2.



i got same error when i try to set up base path of other remote machines runing xp sp2 (i downloaded some rdp stuff from ms but cannot install it as the remote computer say a built-in one is already installed.



i am struggleing on the issues and cannot go ahead. i used tc 8.1.

Hi Margaret, thanks for the info. my master machine is xp. i download one and installed to the machine and problem solved. thanks. Alan
