The future of Test Automation.... (and other tool independant discussions)

Would it be a good idea to start a new discussion group, in which we can discuss general - tool independant - matters regarding Test Automation? 

 

For example: the future of test automation, the required skills, training and education (tool independant), other non-specific-tool related stuff? Anything?

 

Would like to hear if you like this initiative or not.
