TestExecute recommended system requirements

Hi All,

I would like to get a feedback from our testcomplete users on the TestExecute system requirements. I have gone thru the TestExecute recommended system requirements from here.

But, I would like to know if anyone experienced better performance in run time if we have more RAM(more than 4 GB).

Share some experience how you guys configured TestExecute and how you increased the performance by increasing system requirements. I also gone thru the https://support.smartbear.com/articles/testcomplete/test-playback-performance-tips/#_ga=2.176842533.1667955878.1508397053-552411454.1500888202

I know this is too generic, I'm expecting some feedback to get started.

Any increase in RAM is a good thing... it reduces the amount of disk caching that may be happening.  I don't have any statistics as to how much performance is improved, but there's nothing wrong with upping the RAM and only good can come of it.

I agree with tristaanogre.  It certainly can't hurt to have more RAM.  We haven't used TestExecute enough for me to judge that, but it did save us some times from our own forgetfulness with TC.  We don't have to be so careful about closing all the other memory hog programs that might cause TC to slow down or lock up.  I would guess that the same happens with TE.
