Testcomplete with Ajax - popup recognition intermittent

I'm using Testcomplete 9.20 on a virtual machine, and I'm finding it often doesn't recognise popups created using Ajax. That is to say, dynamically. I will get an object not found error for a control in the popup, but it is the popup itself that is not found, not the control.



I'm not sure if I should be wildcarding the popup name, and if so, which attribute to wildcard, or use extended search to make sure TC looks for the popup everywhere in the object heirachy. Thing is, the Ajax window is pretty near the top of the object heirachy anyway.



The strange thing is, somtimes it will recognise the window, and sometimes not, and I can't see what is different between the two runs of the test suite.
