I have used the Windows Task Manager in such cases to spot the process that is hanging the system. It sounds like you have all the other options covered so a support ticket may be required.
The Microsoft Sysinternals utilities are very nice for this sort of thing.

Since TC is hanging using the TC performance counters may not be useful in this case but I add them to most of my projects. They help me see issue with slow response and even application crashes.
