TestComplete and Chrome version

Hi all,

I have followed all the steps to prepare Chrome for testing but still cannot highlight any of the objects on screen.

I have TC 9.3 and Chrome V 36

Is my only option to v10 TC?

If I have version 10 will users with Version 9 be unable to run my tests?

  • Hi Siobhan,

As far as I see, the last Chrome version supported by TestComplete 9 is v. 30. You need to downgrade to this Chrome version or update to TestComplete 10 to perform web testing with the latest browser versions.

What about the other half of his question: "If I have version 10 will users with Version 9 be unable to run my tests?"
  • Hi Mark,

Once you open your TC 9 project in TC 10, it will be converted. As a result, you won't be able to open this project in TC 9 anymore. Thus, executing tests will be available only in TC 10.

If you back up your old TC 9 projects, you can execute them in TC 9. However, as far as I know, there are some license restrictions regarding the simultaneous TC 9 and TC 10 usage. Please check the EULA for this.
