TestComplete 8.70 - Code Explorer: column-1 not displaying on any script

My tech support guy was working on my PC yesterday on a related printer problem, and I discovered that now, this is a little weird, any and all scripts do not display col-1 now.  I can not change an existing line of code (col-1 has the ' mark) now since I am unable to see col-1.



Has anyone experienced this type of problem before?  I know that it's some type of setting, and I've tried modifying the ones in "Panel Options display" icon - Panels/Code Editor/Display, but nothing I have tried changes so col-1 is displayed. 



Would appreciate any guidance on what I need to change.  If there are several possibilities, please let me know.

    When my PC received a Microsoft WINDOWS-7 update two days later, this problem went away.  I'm running a 64-bit operating system, so I think it may have been associated with something fixed from this MS update.  Thank You....
