Test Execute not working with Chrome version 37

Using Test Execute (version 10.40.2018.11), I am trying to run a Keyword test in Chrome (version 37). Test Execute correctly launches Chrome, however it then errors out with the error message stating "Unable to navigate to https://... page".

This exact same test works correctly in Test Complete (version 10.40.2015.7) with Chrome (version 37).

Usually when I receive this error, it requires a patch for Test Complete and Test Execute for Chrome to work.

    Hi Tanya,

I was able to figure out why Test Execute v10.40.2018.11 was not working with Chrome v37. It ended up being the Chrome extension for Test Execute was disabled. Once I enabled it, Test Execute recognized Chrome. Still not sure if it was the upgrade of Test Execute from v10.3 to v10.4 or if it was a Chrome update that disabled the extension but everything now appears to be working.

Thank you again for your help!

    Brett

I am just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue? Any suggestions or work arounds? Thank you.
  • Hi Brett,

The situation you describe sounds like a known issue I described earlier. It was fixed in TestExecute 10.40.2018. It looks like you use the same product version. How did you install TestExecute on the computer? If another TÑ 10 version had been installed, you should have uninstalled it and installed the new one anew (not as an update).

Hmm, I did not uninstall the previous version of Test Execute v10 first. I will try uninstalling and reinstalling TE v10.

    Hi Tanya,

I tried uninstalling Test Execute 10 from my machine and then Re-installing Test Execute 10.40.2018.11. However, I tried running my test again but I am still getting the original issue where after Test Execute Opens Chrome, the error message stating "Unable to navigate to https://... page" is still occuring.

    Thank you,

    Brett
