A little more detail would be helpful. What exactly are you doing and what exactly happens that is different from before?

What kind of file? Where is it stored? Is it on a shared drive? Does the user under which you're running TestComplete have full access (read/write/execute) to that drive folder? Is the file a small file/large file?
Lot's of details that can help someone reproduce your problem and help you diagnose. Please provide more detail. If it is simply adding a basic TXT file to stores, that's something else entirely and may require a message to the SmartBear technical support staff. Hi Robert,
It's txt files of sizes from a few kb to less than 1Mb that are on a shared drive.
There is no problems with the user's rights (I went back finally to TC 11 and it work good).I noticed that I have a lot of space used by the "Visualizer" folders upon my projects.
I made a clean copy of TC 11, migrated to TC 12 the copy with a backup.And.. it still freezes on using TC 12. Have to terminate the process.
I will wait to a newer version of TC 12. Especially as the customer support doesn't answer to my question.

When did you send your support request? It usually takes them at least 24 hours to get back to me. Not ideal, but that's been my experience.
