SVGs and TC 9 dot something

Someone, I think Tanya, mentioned on this board that we will be able to get to the HTML tags that render SVGs in a near future version of Test Complete. IE 8 does not render SVGs natively. A plug-in is required. (What I know about plug-ins could be measured with a thimble.) Do we all know if we can access the SVG inner html stuff within and IE browser with no native support?

Thanks

  • Hi Stephanie,

    Good note!

Indeed, even if some SVG elements aren't recognized by TestComplete as individual objects, it's possible to access them via native DOM methods (for example, via getElementById) as all HTML items are presented in the page tree.

What version of Test Complete does this become available in? Thanks.

  • Hi Stephanie,

As far as I remember, it's available since TestComplete 9.0 or TestComplete 9.20.
