Starting Web Application testing

Question

Hi All,I am total novice in automation and just started the trial for the Test Complete.I have tried to follow the video tutorial provided in the demo page.But I have trouble executing my first test case. I have recorded an action, which is --&gt; Opening google chrome, entering the URL of web page to be tested, attempt to login with correct username and password.After that, I close the browser and click on the stop recording.I clicked on run test. Test Complete only do the first action, which is opening the browser. But it fails to navigate to the url I entered.At first when I check back, the value is "about:blank", so I replace with the correct URL. But still it unable to open the website given. Can advice me on what to check?Thanks and best regards,Hafizan

Hi Hafizan, &nbsp; Pay attention to the versions of Chrome and Firefox installed on your computer. Perhaps, you need to install the corresponding patches to make TestComplete work with the latest browser versions:&nbsp; http://support.smartbear.com/downloads/testcomplete/firefox-patches/ http://support.smartbear.com/downloads/testcomplete/chrome-patches/

Hi,I've test again with different browser, now only works with Internet Explorer. For Firefox and Chrome both face similar problem.Anyone have any idea on what I should check?Thanks
