Splash Screen Validation

One of my tested desktop applications has a splash screen on startup that I am trying to do some validations on.  It behaves like most splash screens, and is only visible for a short period of time.  I've been unable to find a way to get anything to recognize it to start either property checkpoints, or even an image checkpoint. Has anyone figured out how to do this?

      Not that I've been able to manage as of yet.  Best I can get is the highlight around the screen itself, but the splash screen isn't included if I do that.

        What sort of application is it, dot net, etc.?
