several namemapping file in one project

I have a project that has several keyword tests in it, but only one namemapping file. Does this mean that the namemapping file contain the combined mapping of UI elements of all keyword tests? Shouldn't every keyword test has its own namemapping? thanks

    NameMapping is a central repository of named objects with aliases that is usable for all tests within a given TestComplete project.  If you map an object in NameMapping, it is available as it is mapped for all tests within the project.
