Sentinel LDK License Manager issues during TC initial install
SmartBear,
I have seen this issue recently with someone installing TC12.31 and
now also with someone for TC12.40.
When installing for the first time, during the install for the Sentinel LDK part,
a popup warning window appears saying-
Sentinel Runtime Environment Installer failed with the following error:
error copying file
As far I can tell for Sentinel LDK, there should be 3 files put into C:\Windows\System32
- aksllmtp.exe
- hasplms.exe
- hasplmv.exe
This is not happening during the first time install.
Has this issue been seen by anyone else?
I am working with this person right now to copying other those 3 files,
double click on hasplms.exe to start the service to see if that will resolve the issue.
The above seems to be a rare scenario.
I install TC/TE on many machines in my company - I've never got this error.
For the above 1 was on a VM server. 12.31 failed to copy files.
Going back to 12.30, there were no issues.
We have not tried to upgrade yet to 12.40 to see if issue exist.
In theory, correct me here.
If 12.30 is installed and Sentinel LDK is up and running and files are present for it,
would upgrading stop the service, replace any files and start back up ?
Would a copying of new Sentinel LDK files occur?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated here.
Regards,
JamesK
