Running existing scripts across multiple browsers

Question

&nbsp; I currently have Test Scripts that were created to be run exclusively on Internet Explorer, with iexplore being the parent mapped Process Name object. I would like to be able to run the existing scripts against other browsers without having to map all objects again from scratch. I tried using conditional mapping, where I set ProcessName Equals iexplore OR chrome for the iexplore object, but only very few objects were identified correctly on Chrome. Is there anything else I am missing, or should I follow a different approach to achieve cross browser compatibility of these existing scrips?  Thanks.

In my test scripts I completelly&nbsp;rejected name mapping. Instead I find elements dynamically using xpath&nbsp;http://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/29598/it's a little bit slower to code, but works across all browsers and is much easier to support.
