Ribbon pain..

I’m writing tests for several of our ribbon based applications, and it’s not been a pleasurable experience so far.
If the ribbon contains lots of objects (mainly buttons, menu buttons), Test Complete will hang / become unresponsive for lengthy amounts of time. I guess it’s making an internal list of all the controls etc, but it becomes almost unusable depending on the amount of objects.
Test Complete does not appear to be able to list objects on the ribbon according to whatever tab they are contained in. All objects are grouped under the on Ribbon control. It would be nice to have a hierarchical list of controls depending on tab location
Finally, and most importantly for me Test Complete has problems uniquely identify objects that have the same name in the Ribbon. For example we have an "Add" button that is used on several different tabs for different operations. In the object browser this button becomes an ambiguous object, where the index changes unreliably, so it can’t be referenced consistently.
I'm interested in others experiences working with the Ribbon.
