Request: Search function for forums.

The title says it all. A forum is supposed to help users help themselves, but without a search function it becomes useless. The same questions are asked again and again.



I am aware there is a search function for the website, but it returns much too wide results. I would like to be able to search a particular sub-forum for a specific issue without having to sift through tons of irrelevant marketing results.

    That's interesting to know: what features would you like to see in the forum search?

    Just the usual really, stuff that all bulletin board packages offer by default. Search for posts or topics, by keyword, author, date, choose in which forum to search, etc... Just look at any proper VBulletin forum to get an idea.
