Registry setting for x64 bit machine to run scripts in minimized remote desktop

Hi All,

I changed the registry settings in Windows 7 -  x64 bit to execute testcomplete tests in minimized remote desktop windows as given in

But this does not take effect to run the scripts in remote machine by minimising it. Kindly guide me on this.

(This workaround works well in WinXP and Win7 32 bit)

Registry setting:

Created a new DWORD value named RemoteDesktop_Suppress and specified the value as 2 in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\

  • Hello Visalakshi,

Please modify the registry on your 64-bit Windows 7 machine in the following way:

    1. In the Registry Editor, navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client registry key.

    2. Create a DWORD value named RemoteDesktop_SuppressWhenMinimized and set it to 2.

Please take a look at the Running Tests in Minimized Remote Desktop Windows topic of the Online Help - it contains the detailed instructions.

Please let us know whether this information does not help, or whether you have any additional questions.

    Thank you.
