I would use another tag and use theand,orandnotoperations, for example:
@tag1 or @tag2
@tag1 and not @tag3
not @tag5
or
@tag1 and (@tag2 or @tag3)
(@tag1 or not @tag2) and (not @tag3 or @tag4)
