This issue is resolved with the help of SmartBear customer care.
Solution was:

Yeah. Just noticed your second screenshot.
That ExpandRow method looks like a method of the sheet itself so you'd be bypassing the button click.
Whether that matter or not depends on what you're testing, and how you want to get there. If you're testing the expander controls themselves, then using a direct method is a bad idea. If you don't care about those, and just need to get the thing in a state to do what you need to do to complete the test, then you may well get away with going direct. If it will let you ...

In which case, using native methods (if it allows you to trigger them, I imagine the devs can put blocks on attempts to do so if they want) is probably the easiest way to go. Assuming they do what it sounds like they do. Can't say these are control types I've ever worked with ....

Did you try something?
I am not JScript guru, but my first guess is just:
var rgi = fpSpread1.ActiveSheet.GetRangeGroupInfo(2, true); fpSpread1.ActiveSheet.ExpandRangeGroup(rgi[0], true, true);
Usually in JScript conversion from/to native JScript arrays and OLE-compatible ones is required, but in this case I am not sure that such conversion is required because array returned and used by native methods that should not require OLE compatibility.
Hopefully, more experienced JScript guys will correct me if my guess is wrong.
