Hi Tracy,
The Object Mapping feature makes TestComplete treat the unknown control (the one that isn't officially supported by TestComplete) as a known one. The list of the supported controls can be seen under the Adobe Controls branch (this is for TestComplete 9) in the Object Mapping editor.
