open an excel and windows application file

i want to run a test where by i open an already created excel file, and a windows application file, and then begin additional test actions. i'm using excel 2010, on a windows 9 64bit machine. ...

You can use the DDT feature to get data from the Excel file for testing. It will be much easier when getting it from Excel's GUI.
