Could your please clarify a bit your situation? What TestComplete version are you using? What web browser and what browser version is your Silverlight application running in?
Note that if you are going to use Firefox and test your Silverlight application via TestComplete's Silverlight Open Application Support plug-in, Firefox must run its Silverlight plug-in in
out-of-process mode (see
Preparing Web Browser for Testing Silverlight Applications to learn how to configure Firefox).
Also, if you are going to use Firefox, make sure that your Silverlight application is running in
windowless mode. Please see the "Preparing Applications for Testing in Firefox" section in the
Preparing Silverlight Applications for Testing help topic to learn how you can change the application's run mode.
Besides that, please check whether the
Extended Silverlight object tree option in your TestComplete project properties is turned off (its default state) or not. You can find this option on the
Open Applications | Silverlight page in the
Project Properties dialog. If this option is turned on, TestComplete tries to include all Silverlight objects in the object tree displayed in the Object Browser or Object Spy. In this case, the tree may contain a lot of helper objects that are considered by TestComplete's test engine as unimportant for testing and are excluded from the tree by default (when this option is turned off). These helper objects in the full object tree may significantly slow down the performance if the
Extended Silverlight object tree option is turned on.
