Non mapped Object

Hello

Its regarding working with objects which are not mapped into the mapping file .

Object browser recognizes a button as text object which is a child of some super parent object , the super parent object is recognized as a VCLObject , so in this context how we can access that child object by using the parent object into the script .

For the reference i am attaching a snapshot here in this post which will make it more clearer in terms of understanding the hierarchy of the objects .

I got a reference from somewhere that i'll need to write a script for dealing with the objects which are not a part of the mapping file but i am not able to figure out the exact property or a way out for dealing with the same

Snapshot 1 , shows the parent object which is mapped into the mapping file and snapshot 2 shows the one who is the child of the super parent object from snapshot 1

Thanks in advance
  • Hi,

TC always works with all objects in the same way regardless of whether they're mapped or not. Just address your objects like parent.VCLObject("name") or parent.TextObject("name") or parent.WhateverObject("name") according to the node name in the Object Browser.
