Need help controlling indexes

I'm new to TC and am having a hard time with IE and indexes. It seems that every time I create an IE script, then launch the script, the script failes because it now sees the IE browser as IEXPLORE4 (or 2, or 3, or 1) rather than the index it was created in. I would rather not have to re-record the script every time I run it. Is there a way to control the index, thus which IE launches? And what is causing this? Thanks for any help.

    All apologies. I kept digging through the forums and came across what seems to be a solution and answer to my question/issue. I think I've got things working. Thanks.
