Need clarifications about recording and play back
Dear concern,
While working with Test complete am facing some issues and need few
clarifications..With these doubts i can't go ahead, *please looking in to
it and help out ASAP..*
*Eg: Gmail Registration:*
1. Captcha: The verification code should unique in the registration page .
when we are going to playback, it will throws error.How to handle these
type of errors?
like the same way username should be unique..
2. There are 2 ways of recording: 1. keyword Test 2. Script
When we are recording through keyword test, there is a option called
Append to test , hence if we want 2 add the new test anywhere e can add,
where as in script recording , how can we add if we are going
through script recording?
3. How to handle "Object not found/Object doesn't exist " problems?
4. How to handle "stop on error" issues/problems?
5.What is name mapping, how we will use?
6.If there is any change in the position of object in the same page, will
it throws error?how to handle it?
7.How we will use object spy? And if i want to do point and fix in object
spy after target to point to the object, it is showing message as " test
complete is in object selection mode(Shift+ctrl+A)..how to
change /add the Global shortcuts in object spy?
8.How to handle "Hover mouse" operations? if i moved scroll bar in the
recording, while playback it is showing message as "object not found" how
to handle mouse click events?
9.How can i work on on-screen objects?
