Hi Support,

   Still working on the Issue.. 

Currently using the Cucumber/Java Implementation rather than Lettuce/Python.

vikram_u_k there is a feature request to work around integration issues in BDD combined with TestComplete.

You can find it here. And vote for it if you like the idea please.

    Hi Support 

     Good Day to you. Thank you for the Links and Mgroen'sinsight.

     

     We have a client implementing all their Requirments in ALM 12.21. The Implementation of the testcases is done on TestComplete using BDD Approaches.

     

    Now that this is a formal verification, the requirements are listed for Userstory for both Development and testing. Our Validation efforts are following the GWT scenario but the traceability between ALM and Jenkins/CI efforts are being sidelined due to lack of plugin/integration support.

     

    I have worked on ALM Rest Services and understand that the vendor support is there, but implementation needs some case study or possible ways to fine tune our forthcoming substantial efforts.We are currently evaluating this.

     

    I have implemented the BDD approach listed by Mgroen using Lettuce/IntelliJ for TestComplete/Execute. Just the part to integrate with ALM or LeanFT( the other Tool from Vendor) remains.

     

     

    I will pursue this with HP.

     

    Thanks again for giving the full picture.

    Will share possible client-agnostic details on the Forum.

      Just read an article on 'handling' BDD with test automation tooling/ test automation scripts.

      It's on Tricentis's site (tool supplier for test automation).

    Hi Support,

      with lettuce we have integrated testComplete and have this request to generate the Test Reports in either

    1) XML

    2) PDF

     

    Would a Licensed Mobile Edition of TestComplete 11.31 generate reports in the expected format?.

     

    Specific to lettuce, i have 2 questions

    1) is lettuce able to get the pass/Fail status from the TestComplete runs on a step to step basis?. 

     i.e.  RunRoutine("Unit1.testStep_for_Scenario#1")  

    could this get the pass/Fail status from TestComplete as it runs and help generate a report(from the lettuce Runner)

    2) Why does the sequence from lettuce with attached sample project show duplicate step Scenario#2 for each step in the scenario.
