How to get the Tooltip data

In Object Properties Tooltip property is blank and I would like to capture it in run time after mouse hover. Kindly provide me the solution. Attached is the screen shot after mouse hover.

Can you let us know the name and version of the problematic control and its WindowClassName as is shown in TestComplete's Object Browser?

Check your object's properties. There should be a native property which will return the tooltip's text. Look at the .NET section in the tooltip's properties.

I am not seeing any native property which returns text for Tooltip, I have attached the properties which are supported for Tooltip , Kindly help me getting the text from tooltip





I am using following code to get the tooltip in the application

DOMList["Click"](); // Click in the center of the screen

if (PriceAlertEdit["Exists"])

PriceAlertEdit["Close"]();

var XCo = DOMList["MousePosition"]["X"];

var YCo = DOMList["MousePosition"]["Y"];

you can try accessing the tooltip field of the form object directly to get your tooltip. This field has the same name as the tooltip object (e.g. 'toolTip1'). To get the text of the tooltip linked to a specific control on the form, you need to use the GetToolTip method of the tooltip object (which is obtained via the 'toolTip1' field of the form).



Look at the Fields tab your form in the Object Browser and find there the field which is named as the tooltip object in your application.

In some place I could able to get the tooltip data with the method "toolTipCaption" and In most of the places I am not.  I tried to get the tooltip data from the Tool strip and I faced the same old problem.

In the attached document , Every cell is having different Values/Numbers, Whenever I do mouse hover mouse on individual cell  I am getting Tooltip data and I would like capture it in Runtime .



Tooltip method is not capturing the data/Text  in runtime .



Kindly provide me the resolution .
