How to develop customize test sets for automated testing?

Now, if we want TestComplete to execute testing, we put all test scripts into "Project->Test Items", then select run project, right? But sometimes, we just want to run special test cases from test suite, and we wish it can be set in script, how to do it?

I know test item can be check on "Project->Test Items" as Enable item for running or not, but we have thousand of test script, check it is a difficult working.
