For some reason this is not possible.
The only idea that I have at the moment (though I did not check if it works) is to add the TE log as existing one to the log node handled by TC (when the project is opened in TC) and then delete this log from TC and request to delete the log from the disk.
As I said, I did not check this, but hope that it will work.
