How do I pull data from the DOM to use in database verification?

The URL containinig the patientid is only visible in the request - the end user never sees that particular URL:

User:  "webpage.com/meds"

Request:  "webpage.com/meds/12345"

 

I would still have to pull it from the DOM somehow - which is causing insanity at this point.

Do you know where in the DOM from the users perspective the id is located?
